I hoped someone else would comment on this...:-)
I don't really agree. For example KDE is included in GARNOME. I personally
(and many other people I know) use mc frequently in GNOME/KDE terminals. The
current mainstream distributions include outdated versions of mc with only
glib 1.2 support, gmc crap, and so on.
As GARNOME is a "bad ass bleeding edge" collection of useful software for
desktop users I think it is a good idea to include mc.
I of course will use the GAR system for personal use, I only thought about the
other fellows around the world...:-)

PS: I created some preliminary GARNOME packages for Mono. Should I polish
them up and send the patch, or these won't be accepted as well.
