It's not a burning issue at present, as I am in the middle of a few
other projects, including re-discovering why more people do NOT use
fvwm2! I mean, couldn't they make it just a tad more GEEKY and ARCANE?

Understood. Perhaps a patch could be put together to parameterize
${MAKE} throughout? Just a thought; Lord knows ianal.
