Re: garnome-0.14.1 and slackware 8.0 won't compile



Hi Ben,

I'm running garnome on slack 8.1 and ran into similar problems
compiling, you are right that you need to update freetype.

If you're installing from a tarball, you may have an issue with garnome
still looking to your old package, easiest fix would be to remove the
freetype package and then install from tarball.

Even easier (what I did) would be to grab some updated packages at
linuxpackages.net, and just use upgradepkg. I'm running freetype-2.1.2
from there.
