Hi all,

Does anyone have any objections to licensing libgames-scores (new
dependency for games that track high scores in GNOME 3.16) as LGPLv3+?
This would require games to use a GPLv3 COPYING file and display GPLv3+
in the About dialog, but the source files themselves could remain GPLv2
+.

If any developer objects, we will license it GPLv2+ instead.

Unfortunately, you need the developers to agree, rather than assuming
that they do. Seems that only one other developer worked on it though,
so it should be easy enough to ask them:
https://github.com/Catanzaro/libgames-scores/

A couple of questions though:
- what advantages does using the LGPLv3+ bring?
- why isn't the library in GNOME git?

Cheers
