Great - that would be really nice. GTK+ 2.12 added support for
tooltips on treeviews so we would have to depend on that version. How
do you other developers feel about this?

The tooltip could show both the score you would get, but also
information about the rules for the score category. There has been
some confusion about the rules for straights and for scoring a second
"5 of a kind". Clearing this up in the tooltip would be nice.

Regarding the undo feature, it is only relevant because it's currently
so easy to make a wrong score. It would have to be implemented in such
a way that allows you to score the last roll in another category.
Other than that the state should be exactly the same as before the
undo. Cheating features ruins the gameplay IMO.
The real fix here would be to make scoring less error prone.
Highlighting the score row on mouse over or something would do I
think.
But until we get something like that an undo feature would be very nice.
