Monster Masher is mature, rather polished with respect to special
effects (you should try it!), in the Gnome CVS, has okay graphics,
lots of translations, etc. I think it makes sense in the Gnome Games
bundle because it is a relatively quiet action/arcade game to
complement the puzzle/card games.

But it is written in C++ (and with gtkmm although the UI parts is only
a small part of the code). I think it would be pretty easy to rewrite
it in C, e.g. with gobjects, it's only about 5000 lines with "wc -l",
but I definitely don't have time to do it. If anyone fancies it, I
will gladly hand over maintainership and support a C version.
