I do think that they would be useful, but they'd probably be more
concerned with license choice and such, rather than copyright ownership-
our general policy there has always been 'own your own, enjoy.' So I'm
not entirely sure that they'd answer the question you seemed to
originally be posing.
My personal position is that ownership insanity is an important
protection for us- as long as we license correctly the first time,
having very unclear ownership of the copyright makes it difficult to
relicense in a freedom-unfriendly manner.
