If GNOME developers would like to assign copyright to the FSF, we can
work that out. That would give some extra resistence to attempts to
privatize the code in violation of the GPL. However, note that Novell
probably has inherited from Ximian the copyright on substantial
amounts of the code in GNOME, and it may be hard to persuade Novell to
assign the copyright on this code to anyone.
