This year my position in the Board was of co-secretary, and I also worked as the liaison for the Board in the Code of Conduct Committee. We have an Events Code of Conduct in place now, which will be used for GUADEC this year. In the committee we are in the process of updating the Foundation's code of conduct at large, GNOME project's whole online presence. I would like to continue to take on this role. I would also like to help GNOME reach out to underrepresented people and communities. Having a strong Code of Conduct will certainly help with this. In Mexico at least, nowadays there is enough online activism in place around indigenous languages, that GNOME can reach out effectively to speakers of those languages and let them take free software in their own direction.
