Re: Is this project maintained?

Indeed, Mageia people stopped maintaining it after mageia 2 apparently (I use Mageia and also F-Spot).

The good news is that if you have it from a previous version (mageia 2) it should still work. You can also try compiling it from source.

If you look at Comment 4 of Bug 11253: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11253#c4

you'll see Stephen's own response (and he's actually the main maintainer/owner of the code at the moment).

It is more likely that mageia people dropped RPM support of the program because it hadn't been updated in years. (There has been no new official version since 0.8.2 released on the f-spot website).

Probably "unmaintained" is the status of f-spot in the mageia distribution, not in the upstream. In other words, maybe Mageia doesn't a maintainer for f-spot (I not sure, though).

Yes, it is packaged for openSUSE [current].  AFAIK most mainstream
distributions package it.

There is active work on updated to the current colord/cms libraries.

I've never heard of "mageia.org"
