the chronological bar is wrong: now (feb 2011) it is between 2011 and 2010 where it should be between 2011 and 2012 it's off by 1 year and that's quite disturbing

I think you may just have reversed the order. It appears a year label is always at the left end of that year. If time flows right to left, then the "2011" label is over December 2011 and February 2011 is almost (back) to December 2010, where the "2010" label is located. Try right clicking on the bar and selecting "reverse order" and see if that make more sense to you.

if it's a feature, ok

my point is that it's not logical

the choice to have the label of the year at the left end of the year is disturbing, in my own opinion, because the label does not behave like a graduation on a ruler, which it looks like.

if the year 2011 was really between the label 2011 and 2010 then also let's start January at left and fill from left to right, with a gap between current date and the end of previous year!

the current situation seems like the content progresses linearly from right to left like the time itself behave, but above the content description, the date label is a marker (of the end of the year!), not a graduation, which is disturbing.

I'm not one of the developers, so I can only guess about the design decisions. My guess is that it was designed for left to right, and later someone added the ability to reverse direction, without thinking that this would put the "2011" at the end of the year instead of the beginning. Personally, I think it would be good to center the "2011" in the year and put larger marks between the years.

Developers: can this be taken as an enhancement request? Let me know if there is someplace better for me to file it.

Thanks.
