fspot 0.7.2 does not see usb camera

Hi,

Any tips on how to debug a problem with f-spot not
seeing a USB camera? I have a canon powershoot plugged into a
USB port. gvfs-mount -l reports seeing the camera:


> gvfs-mount -l

...
Volume(0): Canon Digital Camera
  Type: GProxyVolume (GProxyVolumeMonitorGPhoto2)

But when I try to import pictures from the "Import" button
there is no camera listed.

Any suggestions on how to trace debug this?
