The build is referencing two different version of GDK, a 2.12 one in
/usr (from the GAC, probably via another assembly) and a 2.14 one in
/usr/local, which you probably built from source.

Note that pkgconfig, which is used to find assemblies for compilation,
has /usr/local hardcoded as a search path. In contrast, Mono doesn't
looks in the /usr/local GAC (at runtime) by default. You maybe be able
to work around this issue by setting MONO_GAC_PREFIX=/usr/local in
your environment.
