I think I'm done with Ubuntu, need recommendations!

I have spent AWAY too much time fighting with it.

Based on http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351522#c3

Stephane Delcroix, what distro do you use?

I'd like to know of a distro that will make it easier to develop for
f-spot. I'm thinking Fedora.

Here is what I've found so far:
KnoppMyth based on Debian Etch & Knoppix - fails to "apt-get build-dep f-spot"
Ubuntu - I'm having to jump through too many hoops

I'd REALLY like to have easy access to the bleeding edge xorg, xrandr,
and intel video drivers.

I'm not fan of rpm/up2date/yum, but I'm will to give it a try.
