Unable to start F-spot

I just built F-spot in a new user's directory. Now, I cannot launch it:

dotancohen ubuntu:~$ su - test

test ubuntu:~$ cd unstable/f-spot/bin/
test ubuntu:~/unstable/f-spot/bin$ dbus-launch ./f-spot

So, I try again without the dash in "su":

GUI appearing. Any idea why? Thanks.
