Goal #5: plugins/extensions/you name it

Hi guys,

I'm very busy these days with my day work and I did'nt had the time to
attend our latest meeting. But that doesn't mean that we can't go
further and further with our small 2 weeks goals.

Apparently, you guys agreed on focusing on the plugin patch as goal #5.
It's a good choice for a lot of reasons (and not only because I wrote
it). This is the bug entry:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345395. To summarize it, the
purpose of the patch and the goal is to implement a plugin support for
f-spot focusing on the export plugins.

So, what can YOU do to make that goal a success ?
- test and review the latest patch and plugins in this bug entry:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345395
- port the actual export schemes as plug-ins (I can help you a lot on
this)
- and the most important thing: find a sexy name for calling our
plugins. Larry proposed to call them 'extensions' (the next release of
the patch is adapted to reflect this in the whole code base), but maybe
you can propose better name. Think for example at Photoshop
'Elements'...

What will I do for this goal:
- I have a new version of the plugin patch and of some of the plugins,
and I will release them very soon (I hope this evening). But I first
need to get rid of this:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355795
- I will propose a new generic plugin scheme working with filters (still
have to define that concept)
- I will help you write your own plug-in or if you want to write some
but don't have ideas, I can share some with you.

best regards,

Stephane
