Currently this is not possible.  The main reason is because all of the
information about tags and what not is stored in a single file
~/.gnome2/f-spot/photos.db.


If he is using F-Spot >=0.2.2 he can save the tags as XMP fields and
reimport them. Also, there is a bug about Library support, which if
implemented would solve your problem.
