Store more information with photo in sqlite

Is there any reason why we can not store more information with the photo
in the sqlite database?

Standard Information like
 Camera Maker
 Camera Model
 Image Width
 Image Height


and perhaps a bit more technical information like
 Aperture
 Flash
 F Number
 Exposure time


As well as prepare some extra additional standard tags
 Country
 Town
 Location
 TimeZone


Should be much faster to look up this information in the sqlite database,
than re-reading the picture all the time.

But the most important feature I think, is that we can also automatically
create tags for these values, and enhance the possibilities for the user
to find a particular photo.

Easy to find photos taken with a particular camera
Easy to find photos that can be enlarged (right resolution)
etc etc
