We could make that thing "live", which simply highlights /backgrounds/ of all occurences of the search text in the selected mail message, and simply forget about Next/Previous buttons. It's just a simple, not-so-long mail message. Highlighting would be fair enough. And actually, in the message viewer window, I'm very confident that Firefox-esque search bar would do it.
