This is an excellent point. I think Bryan Clark had some gedit mockups
from a long time ago that tried to address this. This problem might be
more tricky in the context of the quick-search bar at the top of the
folder summary.
Another possibility for people who like the Firefox-style search is to
have two bindings:
* C-f opens the standard search dialog, like we have now.
* '/' opens the Firefox-like search.
I'm sure we all agree it'd be much better to have one search mechanism
though.
And in any case, I think it's worth trying this out and seeing what
falls out of usability testing.
