What am I missing?
Hard to say without knowing what you expect.
I'm getting mails of a very similar spam type … So I'm expecting
those mails to be detected.
Have you enabled "Checking
incoming messages for junk" as documented under "Help » Contents »
Mail
Management » Junk and Spam Mail Handling » Junk Mail Settings"?
Yes, I did. I also checked “include remote tests”.
Btw the >200 mails spam/ham I checked in the command line via “sa-learn --dump magic” (nspam and nham).
Does it have to be so complicated to get a spam filter going?
No.
Cheers,
