I hadn't heard of Lucky Backup but its web page says that
development
is "virtually frozen". It's dated 2009. Personally I've used
rsnapshot
(also based on rsync) and am now using Borgmatic, a wrapper for
Borg,
which like Deja Dup does deduplication. There are many other
options.

Funny you should mention it: I tried using Lucky on the Evolution
folder, and after three tries, waiting at least 40 minutes on the 3rd,
the program was stalled (read: "actually frozen") at 3%. Lucky is
still offered on Ubuntu Software; I'll look elsewhere.

Personally I use restic to backup my home machine.
