Hi Thomas, I don't like IMAP, never did. So, I always prefer to set my own setup, becasue Evolution doesn't "Know" how to automatically setup POP accounts. I have in the meantime managed to get rid of that Gmail Cloud account Thanks for your feedback Alex On Tue, 2020-08-11 at 17:13 +0200, Tom wrote: Am Dienstag, den 11.08.2020, 09:17 +0200 schrieb Andre Klapper:Hi,(...)3) At installation time, I created all my email accounts, includingmy Gmail account, they are all listed under the 'Accounts' header. But, my Gmail account has also an extra entry at the end and itseemsto be default for new messages, crafts etc... How can I get rid ofthis?I'm not sure where exactly to see an "Accounts" header.Assuming that these are all POP accounts, shouldn't they all appearunderneath/as subfolders "On this computer"? (sorry, I just don't havethe english GUI available)If you refer to that additional virtual "[Gmail]" folder in the treeWhen I set up my GMail accounts, I only had to enter the mailboxaddress and Evolution found suitable settings without my furtherintervention. But that became an IMAP account, for which Evolutionalways reserves its own "branch in the tree" ;-)inthe folder pane, that's one of the many custom non-standard thingsthatGoogle decided to put into their mail account product.Cheers,Thomas_______________________________________________evolution-list mailing listevolution-list gnome orgTo change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ...https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list |
