There is an extension which I once used, and seems
to still be compatible with TB 60, called "Import/Export Tools".
The developer's website for this tool is
https://freeshell.de/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html and it's also on
the TB AddOns site. I won't reproduce the list of what this does here (see URL above), but am simply mentioning it to see if any of its export features would help in any way. Ed On 2/18/19 10:10 AM, Patrick

I would try: a) copy Thunderbird MBOX files into a new directory (you can do it directly in the Thunderbird directory too, but better to have backups and keep private Thunderbird files to Thunderbird only); b) in Evolution's menu: File->New->Mail Account, enter some fake email address, disable Lookup (at the bottom), then click Next and pick type "Standard Unix mbox spool directory" and point it to the directory you copied Thunderbird files to; continue the wizard with None sending type and that's it. c) once you finish the new account wizard you should see your folder structure from Thunderbird (as copied to the new location) in Evolution and you either can use it as is, or copy it into On This Computer. This is untested, I just think that it should work. Always make backups of your data before any such change, because you are playing with internal files of respective application(s).The way to avoid having to do this is of course to use IMAP rather than POP. I realise this isn't helpful in the present case (though of course the OP could also convert his accounts to IMAP and upload the mail from Thunderbird) but it's worth bearing in mind. poc _______________________________________________ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list gnome org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list -- Linux Mint 19.1 Tessa Cinnamon 4.0.9 |
