it won't send messages
Hi,
is there any error message shown? I suppose there is, which may give a
clue, but yours "it doesn't work" claim doesn't help much.
Some unexpected issues can be shown on evolution console, when you run
it from a terminal. I'd also suggest to run evolution with SMTP
debugging on, thus you can eventually see what the server returns
(whether your ancient version shows this information I do not recall, I
only know there had been some improvements in the SMTP debug logging to
show more information). The command for the terminal is:
$ CAMEL_DEBUG=smtp evolution
Then try to send a message, or if there are more in the Outbox then
just click Send/Receive or Flush Outbox from the menu.
Please note that the current stable series is 3.30.x and that there had
been done many changes since yours 3.18.5.2, which had been released
on 2016-03-14.
Bye,
Milan
