1) For a user with many folders in his ews mailbox, is there a quick

        Hi,
you can right-click a folder and pick "Copy Folder to..." which copies
the folder and all its subfolders.

2) Is there any way to "Syncronize remote mail locally" only in "On
This Computer" , while keeping the ews mailbox w/o local mail sync
(to avoid the duplicate files)?

No. a) "Synchronize remote mail locally" is for remote accounts, while
the "On This Computer" means that everything is on this computer,
nothing is remote. b) when you view a message it is downloaded to the
local cache (applies for EWS, IMAP, and other remote accounts). Always.
Thus it is stored locally. The difference with the "Synchronize remote
mail locally" is that the messages are downloaded automatically and the
cache content doesn't expire. Without the option set the cache content
expires and old messages are deleted if not viewed again in certain
period of time.

With respect of searching in EWS accounts, similar to IMAP,
body-contains searches are run on the server side (when the account is
online), all other searches are run locally. Some may require whole
message, like when checking in some headers which are not part of the
local summary, which causes its download to the local cache.

I hope it makes it clearer now.

        Milan
