Hi,

the OP should consider to report a bug against the distro's packages
related to Evolution. I can't confirm crashes, neither for the current
release 3.20.5, nor for the release used by the OP 3.20.4, which I used
myself. Apart from odd formatted quotes, the last versions of Evolution
were absolutely stable on my machine. All my Evolution related packages
[1]. I'm using openbox with the Adwaita theme from an out of date gnome-
themes-standard 3.18.0, the current version is 3.20.x [2], but this has
nothing to do with the GTK3 theme, I'm doing this because I dislike the
changes made to the GTK2 theme. It's well known that GTK >= 3.20 has got
broken many themes and not only themes [3], to avoid this the OP needs
to chose one of the few themes that are working, or to switch to e.g. Qt
apps.
