Ubuntu 10.04.4LTS is no longer supported:

You can upgrade Ubuntu without reconfiguring your system:

   http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/upgrade

In this case though because 10.04.4 is so old, a fresh install would
probably be easier (and safer) if you want to go to the latest (16.04).
