Yes, I agree with you but in my company everyone is using Outlook and sending emails in HTML format (well, 
almost everyone.. :) ).
And yes, it is a font issue, Outlook is using a special font face WindDings but will installing that font fix 
the problem? And can one run a script
or something to perhaps replace that special character with something else before showing the email?
