Right, the imapx debugging is for mail receive, not for mail send. The
timeout may mean that the setting for the Sending Email is not correct,
which can be what they changed, the SMTP server listens on different
ports and/or has a different address. Something like that.

If I'm not mistaken, then this means the server disconnected
unexpectedly.

Hrm, this shows that the Evolution of your version doesn't handle
unexpected disconnects gracefully, which is pity.
