[Evolution] Contacts Issue

I have been using Evolution for about 6 months now, after being a
Thunderbird user for many years. I never liked their tabbed email and I
kept wanting calendaring built in. Evolution mostly works but is a
little slow at bootup.

The main problem I am having is after I open a new email and click on
the "To" button, no addresses come up, even though I have addresses in
Contacts.  If I  go to my contacts first and click on a contact, the
info does fill in that way.

I am assuming something is miss-configured.

My System is an i5 running Mate on LinuxMint 14,
Linux xxxxxxxx 3.5.0-17-generic #28-Ubuntu SMP  x86_64 GNU/Linux

I am running Evolution 3.6.2
