        Hi,
what is your exact evolution version (Help->About) and what is the exact
error message when you try to send through your SMTP account, please?
When you press Send, then the SMTP provider is connecting with currently
available (known to evolution) connection. Thus it can be about the
ports, like mentioned in this thread.

You just reminded me of [1], maybe it's related, maybe it isn't.
