Re: [Evolution] Which non-Microsoft server to build?

We don't actually use the calendar and contact stuff--using vTiger. But
the webaccess for zarafa on ClearOS shows calendar and contact tabs. So
I guess the question would be whether Evolution has the capacity to
coordinate with those sources. I haven't explored that.

I haven't had much success getting Evolution to work with Zarafa/ClearOS
IMAP using SSL. Right now it's sending OK but not receiving anything.
Could be I'm just no clued in to how to set up Evo to work with IMAP
since I use POP for my other accounts.

Zafara integrates with ClearOS? Well THAT sounds promising as my
current server is ClearOS 5.2 Ent (I have paid for it since it was
ClarkConnect).

My problem is that I cannot find any client that will integrate and give
me contacts/calendar as well as the basic IMAP/SMTP/POP.

Does Zafara make this bridge? If so, how?

I have sent an email off to Zafara sales asking for more info. Thx!

Have you looked at Zarafa? ClearOS integrates it into its structure.

Is there a non-Microsoft server that will give me full collaboration
functionality and integrate with Evolution? In all the years I have
been working at I.T. this has eluded me.

Currently am using Horde - but it doesn't synch with anything for
contacts/calendar.

None of the add-on synch tools work right - they are all broken toys.
Or were last time I tried them. (I have likely tried them all).

Does anyone know of the RIGHT server to give me the collaboration
environment I require?

Zimbra? Scalix? I don't mind PAYING... I just want a tool that works.
