OK, thanks. Is there some rationale for removing this from the UI?

Purging the more esoteric and seldom used options to try and get the
window size under control. There's more to be done but it's a start.

Perhaps a comment along the lines of "For other options use 'gsettings'
from the Shell" would at least give a hint.

How about an Evolution configuration utility that allows you to play
with the "more esoteric and seldom used" options ... a sort of Edit ->
Preferences on steroids?

I know people will say that you can just use the Gnome utilities to get
to them, but it's not always obvious where the settings are and telling
users to "just use gsettings" from the command line will not go down
well in some quarters.

I also fear that further down the line some of these options and configs
may be silently dropped because "there's no UI to alter them, so why
have them".

Could the documentation / FAQs be updated to reflect the need to use
gsettings for some things - at least then we will have somewhere to
point people to when these Evo releases hit the, err, "more popular"
distros.
