Re: [Evolution] Merging Inbox/Outbox files

As in get them from the old Inbox/Outbox files and import them to
evolution.

They are no longer on the original email server. This is a POP3 account
so the emails were downloaded and saved to the Inbox/Outbox files.

I'll try the add standard mbox spool file to see if that works. We'll
see what happens.

By 'retrieve' do you mean get the messages from a server or just access
the messages?

I tried importing, but the import takes forever and usually
crashes/hangs without telling me what's going on.
Is there any way to uncorrupt the Inbox and Outbox files? Is it possible
that they are just fine and is there any way to import the files or
uncorrupt them through the command line so that I can see what's going
on?
Each file is about 500 megs in size since it's 4 years of email. I'd
like to be able to recover them.

If it is an MBOX you can Edit -> Preferences -> Mail Accounts -> Add ...
and create a standand mbox spool file / directory and point it to where
the old mailbox data is. Then you should be able to access the mailbox
and move the messages.
