Please provide your Evolution version (see "Help > About").
Last week, all my e-mails disappeared inexplicably, leaving a blank
page. The calendar and contacts section are still intact. When I
download new e-mails from my ISP, these also disappear.
So your emails are not shown / displayed for some reason.
Have you tried
http://library.gnome.org/users/evolution/3.6/mail-cannot-see.html ?
It's not clear to me what you see on the screen or not when you say
"blank page". Is "View > Layout > Show Side Bar" enabled?
The documentation indicating where mail files are stored is
not correct in my case.
Please explain where that documentation is exactly, and which section
that statement refers to, so somebody can fix it.
I followed one procedure in Terminal, to get information on a crash and
no crash info appeared.
Yepp, because your problem has nothing to do with crashes. :)
