[Evolution] Evolution back up problem

Hi,


I'm a newbie with limited computer experience and am running Karmic
Koala on a Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop.


Evolution works just fine for me but I have one problem...Back-up and
Restore.


Despite searching Google and Ubuntu forums I can't find the solution.


I can Back-up and Restore using a USB stick but not with my external
hard drive ( it's an iomega LPGD-UPC 320 Gb ) The hard drive works just
fine with other stuff, photos, music etc. 


Does anyone have any ideas
