The application migrates your data and settings automatically at start
up, so there's no need to manually back up and restore every time you
upgrade.

Note, the migration is one-way: forward.  So if you think you might want
to revert back to an earlier version, backing up your data and settings
before upgrading is a prudent thing to do.
