My company says me to use these settings:
* Server Name: server_name
* Account name: logon_name
* Password: domain_password
* Log on using Secure Password Ðuthentication
* Server Port number: 389
* Search base: dc=xxx,dc=yyy
In Evolution I set up:
Use secure connection: TLS encryption
Authentication
Login method: Using email address
Login: logon_name
I suspect that this is wrong - try using a DN to login - probably the DN
should be something like 'uid=<username>,ou=people,dc=xxx,dc=yyy
Search base: DC=xxx,DC=yyy
Search scope: Sub
Search filter:
Downloading
Timeout: 1 minute
Download limit: 10 cards
I really don't know what to put into Search scope and Search filter.
I don't know what secure connection should I use.
As result I don't have any contacts in the list, I don't have any
autocompletion (mark in Preferences).
You won't see anything in the contacts list display until you search for
something - it needs at least 3 characters in the search box. (I
believe the reason for this is that LDAP directories can have thousands
of entries, and downloading all those would take too much time.)
