I had no idea that Scheme was not a scripting language specific to

I searched on something like <evolution scheme language> (with another
term or two. I did that because searching for a common word like
"scheme" alone seemed hopeless. The same would have been true for a
search on "evolution" alone. Naming progams for common words is not the
cleverest nor the most helpful idea.

Documentation for the query language has been requested many times in
the past and still, I'm rather embarrassed to say, to my knowledge the
only "documentation" for it is the source code itself. And even the
source code doesn't have a nice readable comment or grammer to study.

Obviously this is a part of Evolution that desperately needs documented.

2) In the Preferences, I have specified 24-hour time display. Yet the
arrival times shown in the message-list window appear as AM/PM. What
have I left out, and how can I change this?

Is it possible that AM/PM is hardwired? Doesn't seem likely.

The "Time Format" preference under the "Calendar and Tasks" section only
applies to Calender and Tasks. The timestamp for mail messages uses a
date and time format appropriate to your current locale. If you're
using English, try switching to en_GB (British English).

Additional question (I joined this list only last night}: Is it possible
to configure the list so that it is THE LIST'S address that comes up in
replying, rather than the composer's?

Yes, use Message -> Reply to List (Ctrl+L).

Hope this helps,
Matthew Barnes
