[Evolution] Mail retrieval startup problem

When Evolution starts, I get a pop-up box that says there is an error with my
email password. No matter what I do, it keeps coming back unless I cancel
and then hit the Get MAil button. Then everything work OK.
I have tried resaving my password, etc; and nothing seems to help.
It only happens on start up.
Is there some way of fixing this with a setting? 
Is it a real bug that needs a programming fix?
