"A couple of messages" isn't going to do it. You need at least 100 or so on average.

Evo has no configuration options to tune the junk filters. You need to read the docs for Spamassassin or Bogofilter, according to which one you use.

Alternatively, you could set up an input filter for the domains/users you want to whitelist, and refile the messages so they won't be seen by the junk filter. Probably not very practical for most people.
