Hi;
I am having a delay/freezing problem with my compose window as well
except ...

When composing a new email, after typing the first 5 characters of a

add or delete, I get a new delay, which renders the whole thing completely
unusable.
I have the exact same problem in 2.6 .. it is nearly unuseable at times.
I am using 2.8 and lasts more than 7 sec. Recently the compose window
has taken to freezing while I am typing in the compose message window.
Coincidentally, my hard disk runs at 100% as if there was a loop. All
other applications are very slow to respond. I checked my messages log
and nothing helpful was reported.
And what is even more odd is that some names seem to resolve almost
immediately, and other names ... EVERY time I try to type them ...
hang evo for many seconds. I literally have to switch to something
else, while I wait it out, so that I can navigate in the evo windows
again.
This freezing is intermittent, so that after re-booting I can't
duplicate it.
It only seems to occur when I am using the compose window.
It has been going on for over 6 weeks at perhaps once a week.
I anxiously await SLED sp1, as I am told that many evo updates are in
it. But, hearing that this problem still is in 2.10 .... does not give
me hope.
