See Workaround below.
What's really killing me right now though is that I was fiddling with
seeing if google's calendar would work via CalDAV. Well, it doesn't, but
now I can't remove it. I've tried removing it with the CalDAV plugin
enabled and disabled, to no avail. Yet whenever I right-click on the
calendar to try to remove it, I get immediately prompted for the
password. No matter what I do though, it never gets removed.
No - Google's calendar does not expose a CalDAV interface.
As Andre pointed out, this is http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=335069
I am bumping up the priority of the bug
Is there some workaround, or even some file I can hand-edit to fix this
situation? This has reached a critical blocker stage for me and I'm
happy to fill a bug report if one doesn't already exist, but I'd like to
be able to accept appointments in the meantime. :(
Workaround : [ugly, useful until the bug is fixed, applicable if you
want to get rid of the account]
1. Fire up your GConf-Editor, choose apps->evolution->calendar->sources
and carefully delete entries related to CalDAV/Exchange.
2. evolution --force-shutdown
3. Start using evolution again :-)

Harish
