As you can see from both traces, Evolution immediately tries to authenticate agaist our Exchange
server containing only public folders (BACKENDEXCH01), and doesn't redirect to the server containing
my mailbox (BACKENDEXCH02).

I'm rather puzzled by this, having no previous experience with Evolution and the Exchange connector.

Export E2K_DEBUG=4 in a terminal then launch evolution-exchange-storage
and set same variable in one more terminal then launch evolution from
there.
That gives debug traces.
