Re: [Evolution] problem edit/update contacts - CONTINUING

Hi,

Looks like something wrong with the gconf sources.
Are you able to see all your existing contacts?

The address book where you are trying to create a contact
is your default book?
Can you try to create a contact in some other address book
and see if it works?

Also, you can file a bug in bugzilla.gome.org, so that
it can be tracked from there.

Thanks,
Sushma.

(Note - I have received at least three emails from other people

either!)

I thought Novell was one of the main sponsors of this project - how
about a little care for a user?

If you folks cannot give me a solution: to make this bloody piece of
software
do one of the most basic things (edit/add a contact), then let me know
soon, please.

That way, I can share the information with the three different users
group I belong to
and blow away a day transferring all my info over to another email
client.

However,

If there IS a solution, then please share it with me and I will be
even happier to spread that
info to the users' groups.

Sushma:

I got the following in the terminal Window when I ran Evolution e-d-s
then attempted to add a contact:

called on source with no absolute URI!

Run Evolution and e-d-s from console and see if any error log messages
printed on the console when you try to create the contact.

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm running Evolution 2.4.1 on Ubuntu Breezy (5.10) Recently I lost
the ability to add or update my contacts, (do not know why.)
When I try to do either one - it brings up the contact dialog box then
gives me an error message of :

"Error Adding contact
contact not found"

and I have to close the error message and dialog box before I can do
anything else.

This happens in all modes for adding or modifying contacts.

How can i fix this?

Thanks
