Although I likely should be please that I made it into your Address Book
and even got a hint that I solve Evolution related issues -- I am not a
personal help line. Please send new issues to the list *only*. If I do
have the time, I will respond there. If I don't, there are a lot of
knowledgeable other folks, who can help you.

Since I did not see your post on-list, you are most likely not
subscribed. Please consider to do so immediately, as posts by non
subscribers are held for moderation until someone gets around to flush
the queue...

Also note, that the list address changed. See the To: recipient of this
mail and this site to subscribe:

all of a sudden the inbox will no longer show the emails.
It indicates that there are emails to be read but keeps them hidden!
this only happens with the inbox.
I don't know what I did wrong?

All help appreciated.
thanks

From a follow up post:
I am using suse 10 and evolution 2.4.

To be more precise according to the header of the mail sent to me:
Evolution 2.4.1

Serge, which IMAP server are you using? Courier IMAP by any chance?

There is a known issue [1] with Courier IMAP and Evo 2.4.x, which is
fixed since 2.4.2.

The quick workaround (if you happen to use Courier):

Change your account settings to "show subscribed mails only". Then use
Tools / Subscribe to Folders to subscribe to your Inbox and any other
folder. You might need to restart Evo in between.
