Alternatively (and more reliably IMHO), set up virtual folders for your
most common correspondents, defining the search criteria as From, To or
CC. This works as far as it goes, but of course doesn't scale as easily
as the Kmail way since there's more work involved in setting it up for
each correspondent.
Instead of manually setting up the vFolders, you can use "vFolder on
Sender" from Message menu, to make it (a little) easier.
Sankar, Patrick - thanks for your suggestions but it still "feels" like some
half-hearted workaround. IÂll try the IMAP idea and if that doesnÂt work
will probably keep using Kontact with occasionally popping up the GW
x-plattform client for things that donÂt work in Kontact.
Maybe "Bonsai" and the evolving linux client will solve this and other
issues (like automatically marking every mail seen in the quick preview as
read - which can be configured in Evo, but not in the GW x-plat)...
