Re: [Evolution] evolution and ldap

gdb traces for the crash is required to find what is going wrong.
(See http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces)
Even if you don't have write permissions, e-d-s should not crash
on modifying the contact.

Hi all

i've got an issue with evolution.

I've got a debian sarge server with ldap and i'm trying to edit and
change contact's information.

My sladpd.conf seems correct :

access to attrs=userPassword,sambaLMPassword,sambaNTPassword
        by anonymous auth
        by self write
        by * none

access to dn.one="ou=contacts,dc=mycorp,dc=org"
   attr=children
  by group.exact="cn=staff,ou=groups,dc=mycorp,dc=org" write
  by users read

access to *
        by dn="cn=admin,dc=mycorp,dc=org" write
        by * read

------------

I've setup the client to use DN authentification. I enter my password
and get the adresse book but when i try to edit it, evolution crash :

"*The application "/usr/libexec/evolution-data-server-1.2 has quit
unexpextedly.* You can inform the developers of what happened to help
them fix it, or you can restart the application right now."
"Your contacts for ldap://myserver:389 dc=mycorp,dc=org??sub will not be
availiable until Evolution is restarted".

I can't get any information on google about that issue.
So, i would like to know if i have to install evolution-data-server on
the client and/or server.
Does any one has already get that error ?

Thanks for your help.

Ps : clients are running under debian testing, xfce4.2 and Evolution 2.2.3
