be aware that enabling that plugin breaks the ability to receive meeting
requests. the plugin was experimental and therefore has been removed in
2.4.x.
Oh, it has? Thanks, news to me.
It's a shame IMHO, cause this plugin solved a pretty common request to
display the text/plain part of a mail, rather than the HTML one.
Wow, you're the first person I have seen to admit there was any want for
this functionality!!
Heh, this was from memory only. I didn't check, but I do remember this
one being asked for quite frequently.
Apart from me of course! Am I so outdated and out
numbered that I'm the only one with a CLUE (command line user
interface ;) who _wants_ to send and receive text only emails? Or do
all the "text only" emailers just stay away from evolution?
Personally, I do send text/plain mails only [1] and like this. But
regarding the mails I receive, I rarely care (yes, I don't use this
plugin). Evolution let's me read 'em just fine. :) And looking at the
average HTML "formatted" mail, they don't do anything but using a
non-fixed width font anyways...
IMHO the plugin should still be included, but disabled by default, in
2.4...
Hell, since when are features removed, just because the have bugs? This
should never have been removed, but fixed.
...guenther
[1] I might have send a HTML mail in the past for a reason, though I
currently don't recall any.
